When a link is clicked, blinkr sends a custom event to Google Analytics with the following parameters:
Event Name:
link_click
Event Parameters:
- page_id : blinkr page handle
- link_id: unique link id
- link_title: title of the link
- product_id: id of the product (only for shoppable links)
You can use this event in your custom reports to monitor all link clicks.
1. Go to your Google Analytics account.
2. Select the property you use to track your blinkr traffic.
3. Type "custom definitions" in the search field
4. Click "Custom Definitions".
5. Click the "Create custom dimension" button.
6. Give your dimension a descriptive name and enter the "blinkr event parameter" that you would like to include in your custom reports.
7. Give your dimension a descriptive name and enter the "blinkr event parameter" that you would like to include in your custom reports.
8. Click "Save".
Now you can use this custom dimension in your reports.
1. Go to "Reports" section and click "Library".
2. Click "Create new report" button.
3. Click "Create new report" button and select "Create detail report"
4. Use the "Events" template.
4. Add a new column to your report.
5. Add a filter to your report so that it only displays blinkr link clicks.
6. Save your report with a descriptive name. (e.g. Blinkr Link Clicks)
